After I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I wanted to work for an international telecom company – that was my goal. I applied for a trainee position with Telenor in Norway, and was very pleased to be accepted! From the trainee position in global markets, I went on to work as a business analyst and business assistant before starting in my current position as a project coordinator.

It is an advantage to work for such a flexible organisation. At Telenor, we have the opportunity to work on projects outside our usual “home departments”. This gives me plenty of new inspiration and helps my career. Personally, I have headed a project for Telenor Research & Innovation, which was an interesting experience. I must admit - it was difficult at times; there were a lot of people – from all over - involved in this project. Looking back, it was a valuable learning experience.

I attended a project manager course in advance. At Telenor we are given plenty of opportunities to strengthen our skills through seminars, training sessions and certification courses. Afterwards, we can put our newly acquired skills into practice. I find that ‘hands on’ work is the most valuable. One learns a lot from mistakes, if you see what I mean.

Yes! There are lots of sports groups to choose among at Telenor. Since I love skiing, I naturally join the skiing trips. Recently, 30 of us rented cabins in the mountains. We had a great time skiing during the day and partying in the evening. It is certainly a great way to get to know your colleagues and expand your network.
