How long have you worked for Pannon?

For seven years. During that time I have worked at five different Pannon Flagship stores. These are shops that provide mobile phones, accessories and telecom services. Recently, I took over as manager of the biggest and busiest shop in Budapest. I like the responsibility.

What is the most exciting aspect of your work?

I feel that we are always improving. Every year we launch new mobile services. This year, for instance, we launched a service whereby customers can use their phones to pay for parking, movies and a lot of other things. They certainly seem to like what we have to offer. The feedback is very good.

It is also good to do something positive for the environment. The result of our recycling campaign was quite overwhelming. In just one month, Pannon collected tens of thousands of mobile phones for recycling purposes. Imagine the environmental effect! People like to contribute when someone takes the initiative. And we did.

What can you say about Pannon as an employer?

There are lots of good things to say about Pannon. I mean it. My previous employers did not take care of people the way Pannon does. We are not expected to work round the clock. On the contrary, our working hours are restricted.  It is important to have a healthy balance between work and private life in order to perform in your job. It is a smart work philosophy. It works.

I also like the company values, such as showing respect. My father focused on the importance of this long before I joined Pannon. I keep it in mind when I am driving. It helps me to slow down - the traffic in Budapest can be crazy!

What is the teamwork like among your employees?

It is good. Our social activities are probably part of the reason we work well as a team. We know each other pretty well. For example, we arrange parties in the summer and an annual event related to St. Nicholas Day. We often bring our families along too. We do sports activities - all this brings us together. Ice Hockey is popular.
