Management change in Uninor
(9 July 2010) The board of Uninor has accepted the resignation of Stein-Erik Vellan as managing Director. Sigve Brekke, Head of Telenor Asia Region, has been nominated as the Managing director of Uninor pending all regulatory and statutory approvals in India, and will also continue to be the head of Asia for Telenor.
Uninor launched in five new circles in India
(1 June 2010) Press Release: Uninor has today launched its services in five new telecom circles, increasing its coverage to 13 telecom circles and its population footprint to 900 million people across India. Telenor holds a 67.25 per cent stake in the company.

Uninor debuts with 1.2 million subscribers in first month
(12 January 2010) Press release: Uninor today announced its first month-end subscriber numbers since the launch in December 2009. By the end of the month, Uninor had secured 1.2 million subscribers in the eight telecom circles where its GSM services are available.
Telenor Group places third round of investment into Uninor
(8 January 2010) Press release: The Telenor Group today announced that it has placed the third round of investment of INR 14.9 billion into Uninor, taking its ownership up to 60.11%. Prior to this, Telenor has made two transactions, investing a total of INR 41.1 billion.
