Dtac’s “Do Good Deeds Every Day” project teamed up with the Samnuek Rakbankerd Foundation, the Ruamduaychuaykan DFM Radio Network and the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to grant the awards for excellence in organic farming. The nominated farmers were from Thailand and the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN).

Linking farmers to the global market

Through this show of support for farmers, dtac is making progress in its plan to establish the farmers’ network in Thailand by using communications technology to link the farmers to the global market.

Collecting and sharing agricultural knowledge

With more than 120 applications submitted for the award, the judges ultimately selected nine winners for best practices in organic farming. The 2010 awards marked the third consecutive year that this ceremony was held. The Rakbankerd Farmer Awards are granted with the aim of establishing a network of farmers and collecting agricultural wisdom and technical knowledge that can be shared with other farmers.
