Environment and climate

Telenor will reduce the CO2 emission intensity of its global operations by 40 % till 2017 compared with 2008 levels. Through its services Telenor will enable customers to reduce their CO2 emissions, energy usage and generate sustainable revenue streams. More about what we do in this field:

Telenor Group introduced its global scheme for collecting used mobile phones. The programme called “Old Phone, New Life” helps the customers to either recycle or prolong the life of their old phones.During 2009, several mobile recycling programmes (both global and local) have been launched throughout the Group.
